Smorgasbord

This painting was the last of the Aspects of a Rainbow series. Before starting, I recently learned I had total Aphantasia, which is the inability to create mental imagery. The realization affected me greatly. I experimented with creating abstract monochromatic paintings, then picking out realist forms to form a cohesive story. It worked well. I made several of these, and this is the happiest. The third photo is the original abstraction. Nothing was interesting about it, so I turned it upside down.
